Poetically entitled as "A Trade Mark Symphony”, event proceeded in a fascinating place - the Lithuanian National Philharmonic.
ECTA Annual Conference, organized since 1986 every year in another European country, is designated to the professionals operating with trademarks and intellectual property - attorneys at law, patent attorneys, lawyers, trade mark professionals. Event was attended by a total of over 600 participants from more than 60 countries.
The conference agenda included topics relevant to the opposition proceedings in the European Community, the United States and Canada, the main issues in areas of counterfeiting, Trade marks and Design rights. Also a distinguished panel of judges and lawyers presented EU case law and the judicial system.
Lawyer of our firm, Inga Lukauskienė, presented topic "Restrictions on Trademark rights: Public order, Morality, Bad faith". Moreover during the ECTA Board meeting Ms. Reda Zaboliene has been selected to represent Lithuania at ECTA Board.
Working ECTA conference agenda was added with a cultural program: the guests were introduced to Vilnius city, it’s neighborhood, as well as Lithuanian history, folk, classical and jazz music. At the time of final dinner the participants had the opportunity to listen to the National Symphony Orchestra led by maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius. |
