In 2001 graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the Law Faculty of Mykolas Romeris university.
Since 2006 – Ph.D. fellow at Business law department of Mykolas Romeris university.

Erikas Saukalas acquired legal experience working in public offices since 2000, such as the Insurance Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministries of Justice and Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, where he has rendered consultations and conclusions, has made legal examinations and participated in preparation of projects of legal acts. During 2005-2006 Mr. Saukalas worked on probation in the Insurance and Pension Division of European Commission. Mr. Saukalas also is a member of the Young scholars forum at Mykolas Romeris university.
